Check out this Letter to the Editor from an Ocean Springs resident in today's Times-Picayune entitled "For Mississippi's homeless, recovery is a sham."
The opening sentence says it all:
Please do not confuse what is going on in Mississippi with recovery. Recovery is when the money raised for the victims goes to benefit the victims. In Mississippi we spend our money on the opportunists.
Mark at Wetbank Guide in my opinion accurately summated the Louisiana/Mississippi recovery comparison (i.e. myth) in a post a few days ago.
