New Orleans Mayoral Debate To Be Broadcast Live on MSNBC 17 April 2006
I'm sure you have all heard this by now. The April 17th New Orleans Mayoral Debate will be aired on MSNBC. Chris Matthews of Hardball will moderate with Norman Robinson of WDSU here in New Orleans. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12167858/
I hope that the 7 candidates invited to participate realize that they will be on a national stage representing "our" city. The term "the world is watching" has never had more meaning to us.

Hadn't heard this--thanks for the tip!
No "chocolate City" type of quotes for the National media needed. Please!
Gee, I sure hope Ms. Butler will be in the debate. I can't think of anyone else that I'd like to represent us for Louisiana politics. By the way, is she out of jail yet?
I'm not just worried about our representatives, I'm curious about whether Matthews will inject his own ego and opinions into it.
Personally, not a big fan of Chris Matthews and his show SOFTBALL. He will indeed inject his ego and "talking point" opionion right into it.
So does Peggy Wilson wheel out the 1987-era "welfare queen" bread and butter to a national audience?
Broadcasted?
I think the correct word is Broadcast.
