Ray Nagin = 52% - EDITED

One thought: We're f***ed.

Anybody see Nagin's acceptance speech? Is anybody taking this seriously? He's quoting Ghandi? He's buddying up with Bush? He's condescending to Blanco? WTF?!?

One question: Does this help or hurt people who were on the fence about coming back? And, after sleeping on it does anyone feel as punched in the stomach as I do this Sunday morning by this?

He thanks Bush for delivering on his promises. Oy
The part on Blanco was awful as well as forgiveness for all those who left him

Such a contrast to what was a very good speech by Landrieu's

It's sad

Nagin had to thank Bush, the Republicans delivered this election for him, just look at the results from Lakeview. He owes this race to Rob Couhig and pals, interested to see what Payback is going to be.

Doesn't the idiot realize that the federal money is going to flow through B.R. and the LRA. He might be king in N.O., but he still needs Blanco more than Blanco needs him.

Sad. Tomorrow I'm going to write "should they stay or should they go?" on my blog, as I don't know what I should be telling my family when i visit next week.

Listening to WWL this afternoon interviewing Rob Couhig, and they asked Couhig if he would deliver the message to Nagin that he should stick to the script. They were referring to Nagin taking a swipe in his acceptance speech at people who donated to Mitch's campaign, saying they "visited the red light district" but they can come home now. So a bunch of prominent New Orleanians give tons of money to Mitch, and Ray moons 'em. Very conciliatory Ray. Way to unite the city jerk off!
